Description:
It is used to evaluate the cracking resistance and / or peeling
performance of coatings of paints, varnishes or related products
when they are bent around a cylindrical axis under standard
conditions.
The instrument is composed of three PVC rollers arranged side by
side and rotating around the pivot, which can effectively prevent
the coating from being damaged and shear stress during the test.
The test results are expressed by the following two methods:
1. "Pass / fail" test, i.e. test with shaft of specified diameter
to evaluate whether the coating meets specific requirements;
2. Conduct the test with the shaft in order to determine the
maximum shaft diameter that causes the coating to crack and / or
