Electric stability tester (DWY-2) is a sine wave instrument, which
is accurate, simple and portable. It is used in routine field and
laboratory to measure the relative electric strength of drilling
fluid with continuous oil phase. DWY-2 tester is composed of
testing instrument and probe. It uses four common 9V alkaline
batteries to supply power. The dielectric breakdown voltage is the
key to the conductivity of drilling fluid. The DC power supply of
the battery provides an AC voltage to the electrode at low
